Read with Me

Experience the vibrant activities at our Read with Me centers, where dedicated librarians ensure every child, regardless of the gathering’s scale, has an enriching experience.

On World Pulses Day, our librarians orchestrated a delightful Legumes Day celebration with a read-aloud session of “Kazimir Plants Beans.” They engaged the kids in a discussion about legumes, emphasizing their crucial role as a nutritious food source. The tale unfolded, guiding children through the process of cultivating potted bean plants.

Post-reading, young minds showcased their creativity by crafting beautiful shapes with beans and chickpeas, adding an imaginative twist to the day’s activities.

In another center, we delved into the enchanting narrative of “Child of the Wetland,” enhancing children’s understanding of biological differences and the importance of animals thriving in their natural environments.

At a different center, the theme explored was friendship and humanity. Kids engaged in thought-provoking discussions about courage, fears, and acts of kindness, emphasizing values of helping, understanding, and being friends with people from diverse backgrounds.

This snapshot encapsulates the diverse activities across our Read with Me centers, fostering values of compassion and understanding. Special gratitude to the dedicated librarians, ensuring each center is a nurturing space for learning, exploration, and the celebration of our shared human experience.
